Adam Reitsma
In over a decade of financial services technology, Adam has consistently gravitated towards leadership, facilitation and innovation. After obtaining his Bachelor of IT with Distinction from UTS, Adam jumped straight into internet technologies with Royal & SunAlliance (which is now Suncorp). The broad range of leadership and delivery roles that he pursued in his career led him to study and embrace agile, lean, scrum and systems thinking.
Through leading a range of innovation activities in his digital teams, Adam was awarded an innovation role, where he managed (and re-vamped) his company’s innovation portal, and provided internal consultation on a range of innovation and digital competency areas. His latest role in Suncorp Personal Insurance sees him leading the group’s strategic initiatives - that key crucible where innovative ideas are tested against commercial realities.
Adam is dedicated to lifelong learning, and has become an internal expert on a range of innovation methodologies. Other areas he is passionate about include gamification, data visualisation, and diversity. Over the years, he’s learned that what drives him most is passion itself - and facilitating an environment that builds and focuses the passion of his colleagues is what gives him the greatest satisfaction in his career.
